The thing is, I can't quite believe it some of the time. Two years ago I was buried in tedious excel spreadsheets, transcriptions of phone calls, you know -- in a cubicle -- where I'd never work because the "business life" was one of sad, lonely suits who never got home in time to kiss their kids goodnight. It was easy being an intern because I knew I had no intention of staying for very long.
Somewhere along the way everything changed. It damn well blossomed, if we're being honest. Now, I'm no huge success. I'm still an intern. If I didn't work from home, there'd still be a cubicle. But for me the right doors opened at the right time and before I knew it had happened, I had a job that I loved. Drab delusions of life in an office imploded as my first "real job" unfolded.
Where did I land? Smack in the middle of the Social Media Revolution. And make no mistake, it is one hell of a revolution at that. I was hooked. Still am, really. It has become my job to seek out new ways of connecting individuals, thoughts, ideas.. I am a revolutionary.
